What are the Centralization Risks in Bitcoin?

As Bitcoiners we know that Bitcoin is the only thing that is actually decentralized yet also as Bitcoiners we don't trust, we verify and that means battle testing our own system with adversarial thinking. What do you consider as a centraliation risk if there are any in Bitcoin and how do we mitigate those risks?

Curiosity: 263 years ago, in 1761, Portugal made history by becoming the first nation to abolish the slave trade within its borders (although the trade continued in its colonies). This landmark decision granted freedom to any enslaved individuals who entered Portuguese territory. It marked a significant step towards the eventual abolition of slavery.

I didn't know Portugal was first, but that was the norm for European colonial powers. Out of sight, out of mind.

Looking at you sparking conversations left right n center!

Neat pic! Penmanship has declined severely.

reply

The photo shows the original document that outlawed slavery. As for the handwriting, we still learn to write in this style in school, but then everyone develops their own unique handwriting. :)

reply

Cool fact!

reply

if it was the end of slavery, I already liked this post.

reply

It was the end of a particularly horrific type of slavery. There's always more slavery to combat, though.

reply

indeed! it's a never-ending fight.

The first Siggy top post of the series. Many more to come if you keep it going.
