Then it is still possible to rename the streets :) I thought historical streets would have a hard time doing that.

Since 2020, there has been the renaming of U. S. Army bases, schools, streets, etc. But there has been and currently is push back.

There are always loser to a war. Just because he was on the losing side doesnt mean he was a bad person. Some events in the past have to be viewed from the perspective of the past, even if it is wrong in the present.

Sounds like moral relativism to me, which is overly simplistic and inadequate. There were abolitionist then. They knew. The human capacity for rationalization and justification is really something.
