There's ways, and it depends. I'm learning this stuff so take it in consideration. It depends, of course, who, why and how sent you the notice and how comfortable you are with possible responses. There's no cheat sheet (well, there is but for learning, not copying).
One of the most powerful tools we can use is a conditional acceptance. It's a way of staying in honor while throwing the hot potato to the other party. You accept the offer at conditions. This tool is simple and incredibly powerfull. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4emWJJdHg4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NoXaXYAwjo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMkus5Xm2Jg
There's ways using the post office, postmarks, thumbprints, pen colors, way of writing over the notice, way of signing/autographing... All become more clear by studying and practicing. The more knowledgeable we become the more possibilities to respond we have, hence, become more response-able
Thanks for your suggestions and all these videos, I'll take time to watch them all.
Conditional acceptance is exactly how I've framed the response, and my doubts are more about how to formalise it. As you mentioned, it's just a question to try, fail and try again. More experience the better!

ehehe, agree! Curious to know which response I'll get! I assume the worst case scenario is that they call me in court!
