I partially lost my sanity haha. It felt like I lost my family and became the black sheep. My parents appear to be communists based on the way that they behaved throughout for example cheering on the most draconian covid policies.

Technically I didn't lose my business but our revenue dropped by almost 90% and by the time I sold the business almost 2 years later revenue was still down almost 50% from the peak. So I sold my equity in the business for about 1/3 of what I would have gotten for it in 2019. Is what it is.

This has happened to many people. One of my close friends sold his restaurant business for nearly half of its pre-covid valuation. I can understand what this feels!!

Many people were much worse off. I am not regretting my decision. I made it to improve my lifestyle and the lifestyle of my family. I could have stayed in the city, rebuilt the business, and kept chasing fiat but I decided it was better to pursue a different path.

With God's grace I didn't lose anything. It think it was mostly because we went to our ancestral home in the beginnings and stayed there. Still there. Though we used to live in a big city till March 2020. I was brought up in a big city but I the best place to live your life is in the far off towns or villages with lot of fresh air and water.

Nothing, except the job I wasn't happy with anyway. Gain my freedom and conviction that will never go back to the office again :-) In retrospect, it was educational and I realized who the friends really are. Live and learn, life will go on, enjoy every day.

I’ve always worked remotely, and I was trying to bootstrap a few products at the time without a job, so nothing really changed for me. I did feel like I gained companions in the work from home experience - before Covid most people couldn’t relate.

I ended up getting covid a few times and pneumonia for the first time, so I lost some of my sense of invincibility in addition to some loneliness in my work from home experience.

I won't say that this one is the biggest of losses but still very big because of the loss of invincibility. Health is everything. Nothing can be ahead of it. I believe and I can see that you've restored much of it back.

Hello, I did not lose anything and I sincerely believe that no one did the same thing again during and after the pandemic. I went through the pandemic in my country Venezuela and it was a very difficult situation.

I lost my uncle, I lost my job - but I gained a lot. I learned the importance of going out into the world and interacting with people. From my view, it was hard to make moves in the business world behind a screen. There was a period of 2 weeks where I didn't even leave my room. I gained gratitude also on a lot of things.

I didn't lose anything except one of my friends. He was in government service and he caught covid while employed at a polling booth. While his immunity wasn't strong, I still feel that government could hold elections in those times and so many fragile lives could be saved. Now, I have no faith in government and state. Not very little.....

Because I shared an interview of doctors. I believe medicine is a science. YouTube as an entity didn't and decided to censor. Since I knew that in science people agree and disagree all the time, and that doctors treat patients and don't panic when they treat them, I was not ok with censoring doctors who do their job. So I shared videos where medical doctors express themselves until I got the red flag and got my account locked. At this time I was still ok with 2% inflation but depriving people of basic human rights and shaming them in public was for me fascism/Nazism so no way I could be indifferent. Fortunately I didn't live in Europe or Canada so didn't lose my job and was outside all the time.

I lost the freedom I had always been used to. You could only go out with a permit controlled by the police who patrolled every neighbourhood. It was a horrible experience. First of all because of the fear of covid because you couldn't understand what it was about and how long we had to stay locked up in the house. Then for the first time I experienced the police state, with blanket checks and you could only go out for work or important and certified reasons. Never again.

That was the worst thing to happen. When I saw a few first barricades on the roads, I ran away to my village and lived peacefully and happily. I can't say if would it for myself. I ran away without protest for my two kids!

Most people I know did get covid at some point. No one died or even got very sick.

Lost a friend. Not directly from covid but I believe lockdowns were a factor. His death was caused by health issues exacerbated by substance abuse.
