Most of the doc took place in the Netherlands, and while I'm not sure what constitutes a reasonable civil case anywhere, it sounded like there weren't really laws protecting the parents there given how novel the situation is.

A lot the parents were also conflicted because they didn't want to punish/destroy/upset the biological father of their children.
