I just learned about @benthecarman's NIP and its incredible potential. i think this could lay the groundwork for some really game-changing applications that do things people didn't realize were possible before.
With Nostr as a layer of discoverability for DLC oracles, anyone with an internet connected device can:
- become an oracle
- discover other oracles on the same relay
- hear announcements from any oracles who connect to the same relay
- create conditional contracts based on those announcements
- create multi-oracle contracts which resolve based on the opinions of different oracles, possibly on distinct relays
If this is combined with ticketed DLCs over lightning, or ECash DLCs, people could even settle these contracts instantly.
