I think so. I had already started seeing people become more comfortable questioning it at work. Once people feel comfortable questioning it, its days are numbered. That's the nature of meritless things.
Most people do not realize how long it has been a thing. The term isn't that old but the idea at the core has been a movement in its current form for at least 15 years. I remember being sympathetic to it for a few years. It started to occur to me many years ago that it actually breeds more hate, more racism, and more sexism. There are benefits to diversity but there are also tradeoffs but merit based things are not bad on their face. No one wants a surgeon working on their heart that is not the best. Its sad that people have to die for some to see the problems with DEI policies.

There seems to be a progression from sympathetic acceptance to suppressed skepticism to open pushback. I assume the next step will be abandonment, before moving on to the next stupid utopian scheme.
