I know the villians say "you will own nothing and be happy," but I do think owning nothing leads to more happiness. If only because all the paperwork, taxes, and requirements around ownership has made it so burdensome.

I also think there is nothing wrong with eating bugs

Yes but it's a nuance often lost I guess. Everything is bad if it's mandatory, so the problem isn't eating bugs but it sometimes sounds like it.

Owning nothing is extreme but a minimal lifestyle is optimal

staying minimal requires lots of self aware, you need to know exactly what you need instead of being told what you need:)
