They're now saying that there was no ladder at the scene and none of the footage of him wandering around has a ladder.
No ladder clears up how implausible it seemed that someone with a backpack, ladder, and range finder would just be allowed to wander around.
I’ve heard that too. But why buy the ladder that morning?
reply
I don't think he had a particular plan.
I think he showed up prepared for several contingencies. That explains why he had a car full of explosives as well as a backpack full of body armor and hundreds of rounds, but then he ended up just taking a few shots on Trump.
reply
Its not like he has done asssassination attempts before.
reply
No, but the set of explanations changes if he wasn't solely planning on shooting from that roof.
reply
That is true. I heard there were two shooters? Have they verified that yet?
reply
Not that I've seen.
reply
They have footage of him wandering around?
reply
Yeah, from like an hour before the shooting.
reply
That is very suspicious.... Walking around a building and looking up?
reply
Not specifically looking up at the building, just wandering around sort of aimlessly. You probably have to watch some of the coverage to understand why it looks so suspicious.
reply
I will have to watch it. Seems a bit weird he wasnt caught before it actually happened.
reply
It is weird. He had been flagged as suspicious 3 hours prior to the shooting and flagged as a threat an hour before.
reply
That is super weird. Why didnt they just escort him off? They can do that to people.
reply
Lots of unanswered questions
I thought the ladder was already attached to the roof. Part of the structure. So he didn’t turn up with it at all from what I understood?
reply
I had heard that, but I haven't seen any confirmation that there is such a ladder. That should be easy enough for them to confirm or deny.
