Hell yea, it's a target rich environment for maxi's that actually show up and put in the work
Complaining about shitcoiners from the basement doesn't achieve anything, got to go and fight for every inch of ground... I got dozens of new Uncle Jim Lightning nodes set up and saved several people from scams

Bitcoin Atlantis was Bitcoin Only
Exactly how it should be.
Embarassing to see "bitcoiners" at conferences eagerly whipping out their bank cards to beg for payments.

I saw that. I think we should wait to have more data from the BTCPay people or other sources, because those transactions were the ones where the merchants used the Strike API (to convert to fiat, I assume). Maybe there were more transactions that didn't use Strike. If that is the final data, it's really telling/discouraging about the kind of people that attended that conference.

How was this data aggregated? How many paid for their ticket in bitcoin? Would that not be counted? This data is skewed to make bitcoin magazine look bad
reply

AFAIK, the data for the other conferences doesn't include the ticket sales either, so the comparison would be fair. It includes the spending done during the conference (drinks, food, merchandise, books, etc.). The data for Adopting Bitcoin Arnhem includes also the payments made during the conference at the city merchants that use BitKassa.

I have heard that Shitcoin Magazine did not organize the WiFi networks to support so many Bitcoin wallets and so many people using them at the same time.
Making it impossible to use them.

Yeah the conference did have net issues Jimmy song was complaining about it at the book signing table. So def a gaff on them but that is why I question this data.

Yeah itβs only using data from strike. Having gone to the conference and paid many vendors with bitcoin this data is skewed just as I mentioned before
