Can one conclude that South Sudan is the poorest country in the world? What steps can be done to bring them out of this extreme poverty?

Teaching enough people in South Sudan how to grow food and raise/keep livestock will make them self sovereign individuals and then everything else will sort of fall into place?

Main reason is corruption and political instability. This leads to disruptions in economic activities, affecting businesses, investments, and the overall economic environment. In my point, to overcome this situation enhancing political freedoms and ensuring fair electoral processes can increase public trust and participation. Investing in education, healthcare, and infrastructure can improve quality of life and social stability. It takes time but first citizens of these poor countries must take politics seriously.

Today, I watched a video about a city in Cango where nearly 50k people live at 5000 m elevation. The place has no cleanliness, no drainage, no houses. All stinky and polluted due to gold digging in that area.

So a challenging place to live with such harsh conditions and a lack of infrastructure. Sad to see how people adapt to such environments, yet they have to, for their bread and butter.

Liberia has an interesting origin story
From perplexity:
Liberia was founded in 1822 as a settlement for freed American slaves, organized by the American Colonization Society. The name "Liberia" means "land of freedom." The settlers established a colony that declared independence on July 26, 1847, becoming Africa's first republic. Joseph Jenkins Roberts, a freeborn Black American, became its first president. Despite its founding by freed slaves, the country has a complex history of social stratification, with Americo-Liberians dominating politics until a coup in 1980 led to civil wars that devastated the nation[2][3][4][5].
