Yes, this is my point. The opening ceremonies, the issues with accommodations, the river being a health risk, the controversy over men fighting as women. It all detracted from the event.
I watched some of the swim events. Even swimming was a disappointment because the pool was too shallow and slowed everyone down.
I guess the highlight was the men’s 100 meter photo finish. But Noah Lyles is hard to cheer for after his obnoxious entrance in the 200 meter final.
USA men still can’t exchange a baton in the relay race. Another disqualification
