On this occasion, I want to share with you a set of photographs that capture the essence of everyday life in the city of San Cristóbal, Venezuela. Through these images, I intend to convey the diversity of moments and experiences that are lived daily in the streets of this beautiful city.
The first photo I will share is my favorite because I feel it has many layers and the more you look at it, the more you discover things, from the boy in the background sitting choosing a station on the radio to the two people on the motorcycle, one looks like he is covering his eyes and the person behind is overloaded with things.
What caught my attention in this photo was the way the man was carrying a bicycle wheel on his back and was heading straight to a tire shop.
You can tell that the lady loves her dog very much, her loyal companion.
I've grown fond of Vespa scooters, now every time I see them I want to take a picture of them.
People walking, it seems to be a family.
This was a failed photo that I ended up liking, I tried to take a picture of the old car but I didn't succeed, when i was going to edit the photos i saw this and I liked the feeling of movement that it transmits.
An abandoned car under the shade of a tree... it makes me wonder what its story is.
The garbage truck:
A lady who sells fast food on a corner in the city.
It has always seemed very curious to me when people use umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun... But at the same time, I know it's very smart of them.
A woman walking amidst the downtown chaos.
At this moment there were two gentlemen eating at a kiosk, I thought it was interesting to show.
I took this picture of a taxi line because I literally hadn't seen one in YEARS. With the advancement of new technologies, people are increasingly using Uber-type apps instead of calling taxis. It's not common to see them circulating on the streets here either, I guess they just wait for someone to call them for a service.
I found this photo to be nostalgic because it reminded me of a time when taxis were the primary mode of transportation in many cities.
I hope you found these photos of everyday moments interesting to see.
Thanks you for everything!
