Good Morning! Just finished my coffe, about to bring my son to school late, because we value his sleep over punctuality atm, and will figure out where to dig some wells on the property this afternoon. I hope you all are having the time of your life.

So recently I finished 3 books
Why do ALL of them have rating 4.38? Is that just me?

Does anyone know how to obtain a lightning channel backup file from Simple Bitcoin Wallet (SBW)?
reply
enable local backup in wallet settings
It should appear in your Downloads folder

Thank you, I found it! A follow up question, if you don't mind: if I wanted to recover this into another phone, how do I do that? Can I just download SBW and open the file in the wallet? Or could I use a different app?

GM SN!
Rocking it with React while working on a fun project at UselessShit.co. Yesterday I managed to override the webpack config from react-scripts (the project was created with create-react-app) without ejecting. Today I'm doing a bit of refactoring and working on improving the UX.
Have a great Bitcoin Wednesday! 🙂

How to load up a mobile LN node wallet from onchain address
Ok today we will talk about a practical case that many users are asking. Will take as example a wonderful mobile node wallet as Blixt. Here you can read more about it: Blixt website - also with realtime web demo wallet Blixt presentation guide Blixt features Blixt guides Blixt FAQ page
Apart from regular opening LN channels in Blixt, sometimes users want to just load up existing channels from onchain address. For the moment Blixt doesn't have an internal way to swap funds onchain<->LN, but is considered for next releases.
So how we can do it?
Use case scenario:
  • you already have 2-3-4 LN channels in Blixt.
  • those channels are almost empty and you need more liquidity on LN to make some payments.
  • you do not want to close the existing channels and open more.
  • you have funds in an onchain address or you just buy from an exchange a small amount and want to withdraw it into a LN wallet.
Steps to do:
  1. Go to http://deezy.io, select swap onchain to LN
  2. Put the amount, pay it from your onchain address
  3. Provide the LN invoice from your Blixt wallet as destination
Done! Now you have your sats directly into your Blixt LN channels. This is also a good way for privacy. Lightning is so awesome!

RECTIFICATION: Deezy.io is only LN to onchain!
My mistake, I was thinking about all other swaps services like Boltz, FixedFloat, ZigZag, RoboSats etc and I write only about Deezy. Was too late to modify the post.

Sidenote: zigzag is dead, right?
reply
Yeah I think they run out of liquidity
