Because Singapore is so close to Thailand, I used to visit there at least once a year. Fun times! When it comes to Thai food, I instantly think of lemongrass and distinctive seasonings, such as fish sauce (not fish oil). They imbue the dish with so much personality that they leave an impeccable impression on my senses - my nose, eyes, and taste buds. Yet, they are not as overwhelmingly dominating as other flavors, such as mala (Sichuan peppercorn and chili). Whether you devour the cold desserts on a hot day or enjoy some Chang beer while savoring green curry, you are bound to have a wonderful time.
Thai food is awesome! You're right they bring in a lot of personality in the food. I love Tao Hoo Song Kreung.

Which is your favourite part of Thailand?

Thailand is without a doubt one of the most famous destinations in Southeast Asia. I have always loved its beaches, its parties (Full Moon Party), the southern islands and the diving that can be done there, among many other magnificent things that this country has to offer.

Thailand is a must visit but surely not for food. Japan and india do much better!

Thailand is somewhere between India and Japan ~ geographically, cuisine wise and culturally imo - it is less expensive than Japan and almost as exciting/chaotic as India. They are all amazing countries. Go to them all if you have time and money!
