How many of you have picked up and used a pencil recently?
As we grow older, we get more into pens, I think?
But do you remember in your childhood?
What pencils did you use?
Do you recognize any of these?
The yellow one on top is a Dixon Ticonderoga.
I always used these when I was in school, they wrote very smooth.
The blue one in the middle is a Mars Lumograph from Staedtler, and you could pick what kind of lead you wanted.
It made for smoother writing, depending on how you liked to write, but you always needed a spare eraser.
And the final one, you might not recognize.
It is a Blackwing 602.
A very iconic pencil, I adore using it now as an adult.
It writes very smooth.
It has a very interesting history.

Its such an iconic pencil.

If memory serves me correct, I think the black ones sharpened better because of the material they used.
Maybe it was a wood composite instead of real wood?

I didnt use these pencils when I was a kid, or when I was in school.
But the tactile feel from them is nice.
Especially when I am doodling and writing notes.
