I'm wondering if there are many early adopters who have stopped using the SN wallet? For the record, I have emptied my wallet a few times in the last day or so, and it hasn't been a big adjustment.
Yes! 5.6%

I want to ask you. Is it easy to connect wallet to SN? And which one I'm using only mobile.
It seems the consensus is that the new Alby Hub is the simplest way to go. That's what I'm doing. I think you need an existing Alby account to use it, though, since there is a waiting list for new accounts. I am mainly on mobile too. If you use Blink there is an easy connection.
Thanks! So I can't use Alby as of now, I've to go with Blink.
What does it mean 'send only'? I get it on wallet attach page.
That means you can zap, but not get zapped. You're half way there!
So, to be zapped do I need another wallet?
For now, yes. If you want to you can play around with zapping and keep using SN for getting zaps for now. If you have a lightning address, you can receive zaps there. That's an easy hookup. I can't remember if Phoenix has that option too.
Thanks!
Does that mean I may reciece zaps directly to my lightning address?
Yes. Just keep in mind that the way lightning works, you will only receive zaps if the node connected to your wallet is online.
Been testing auto withdraw for a good while. Found a bug even. I haven't yet set up a spend external wallet. Planning to in the next few weeks. Also gonna be setting up a brand new node on Start9's OS. Been meaning to try it out for a while now.
I am anxious to see how it compares to Umbrel for less technical users.
Edit: Not using Start9 hardware though.
I have the Start9 ready to go. We're in the same boat. But, I have been using NixOS for a while on my desktop, and though it's weird at first, I actually seem to screw things up on it less. So, once some real life business I'm attending to quiets down I'm thinking about really kicking away the training wheels and downloading bitcoin core, and setting up a btc/ln node that's not plug and play. I may fail, so I still have Umbrel/Start9 to fall back on. I like trying stuff that's way over my head. If the frustration level gets too high, I'll just quit.
I bet you could have been a dev in another life. At least you don't have the fear most people have.
No. I feel like you need to be methodical. I'm too scatterbrained. I also have a terrible memory. I really do it only for the dopamine hit. It's an incredible feeling when you try something, and it keeps failing, and you keep thinking about what you're doing wrong, and then it finally works, it's an incredible rush, at least for me.
I mean... that sounds like a dev to me lol. I'm guessing people assume a lot about devs like people assume a lot about lawyers. :)
I'm always impressed with "non-technical" people that get technical.
Not yet, but I did transfer one megasat out. I'm waiting for you all to find whatever booby traps are in front of me.
Smart. I'm always the guy who clicks the software update without waiting for all the bugs to be resolved.
I absolutely do that, too. Really, I'm waiting for one of you to write up the best wallet setup, because none of the ones I currently use work for both sending and receiving. Alternatively, I'm waiting for the wallets I use to be integrated.

Thanks. I hope it won't come to that, but I'm glad you found a solution.
Not yet, but soon. I am very confused. Which wallet is easiest to connect.
Read this thread and find out. #657277
I would suggest you Alby but if you don't have it. Just use Blink and a lightning address to recieve!
Thanks I will try
Your welcome!
No, not yet but I frequently withdraw them. Haven't attached it so far. I'm waiting for my new friend to arrive. I'm not gonna do everything on mobile anymore!
I'm confused about autowithdraw. Does it withdraw everything when the threshold is reached? I like to leave at least 1k sats in my SN balance so that I have something to zap people with. Is there a way to say "Please withdraw everything except 1k sats"?
yeah, you set your threshold to 1000 sats
oh, I feared it was the reverse: it waits til you hit your "withdraw threshold," then withdraws everything
It's the one that makes sense :)
No. It seems to stop just below the threshold.
I noticed after 100K sats it turns orange, can these wallets hold more than 100k? I would prefer just to accumulate my balance on SN and let the sats flow.
100k is the limit at which we stop generating invoices for deposits from outside SN. If you get zapped from other stackers, your balance will continue to increase.

No. I am a cowboy credits maxi.
I actually hope SN makes it usable within Nostr, so that SN becomes a full port from which one can navigate the Nostr sea.
Not yet but I will work on it next week.
Since I started my journey in Bitcoin I have used the wallet and I really don't plan on leaving it for now.

I know I have to do this eventually.
I am just not great with the lightning network yet.
If only you could withdraw onto the blockchain...it would make my life so much more simple.
Eventually I am going to have to make my a lightning wallet.
Hopefully they dont get upset that I keep my balance on here.
I am new to S.N and I don't think that in the short term I will stop using this wallet... it is practical and since I am starting out I think that I should use several wallets to practice and know each one of them... I mean that I empty it weekly because the person who is not teaching Cryptoeconomics... he gives us the subject of commenting throughout the week on S.N and sending proof of how much we collect per week... and obviously now I can't stop commenting constantly, it is an excellent application.. 💪
