I'm that guy. You know the type, walks into a room and finds the first conversation to flip to Bitcoin. "Did you see that touchdown by *XYZ this weekend?". I sure didn't, but I heard he gets paid in Bitcoin! Maybe I am not that bad, but my wife might think it's spot on. Speaking of which, I struck a deal with her recently whereby she would learn about Bitcoin in exchange for some home improvement work. I'll have her Orange pilling at work before the year is out. Recently I have tried a new approach based upon my experience with the challenges faced at various levels. These challenges fall into different categories, which you will see that there are some you can strategize for, and some that you really can't. There are conversations, and there are actions. I have had hundreds of conversations, like many of you I am sure, and they are often frustrating. I spend much of the time correcting false ideas. Most notably I think, if people don't understand the problem then the won't see Bitcoin as a solution to anything, except that it's possible short term investment. On the action side of the equation is just sending someone some Bitcoin and let them figure it out. I did this over the weekend with my friends teenager who is hungry for making some cash. Let me tell you how it went. I was visiting this friend in the hospital, his other son (twins) is in rough shape. So I told (Vinnie) to open his browser and go to coinos.io, which he did. I recently learned of this web wallet and really like it. I think I am going to try it with my Barber too. I then showed him how you can save the page to the desktop of your phone and make a web app out of it. He was impressed. Then I sent him some sats and they appeared in his wallet seemingly instantly. He then immediately wanted to know how to spend it. That's where I just have to breath and stay calm. Learning to spend isn't such a bad thing either I guess, and it's the first question from 100% of the people that I talk with. So I told him to go to Bitrefill and check that out. He had lots of questions, I told him it's time to do some homework and figure it out. I think the lessons for me have been that conversations don't often yield much benefit, unless they happen to raise the issue and have some curiosity. If people come to me with questions, great! Let's talk. Sending them sats is way more motivational. I found https://lightsats.com in the Breeze wallet, and I think I will try that out as well. If they don't claim the sats you get them back. So that is a big upside. They will also give some education to the receiver before they can get the sats. My next step is going to be to get my wife to do this, and I will send her some substantial sats. Then I will help her set up a wallet for savings, and another for some spending on Lightning. I'll let you all know how it goes.
I think you have good intent and smart intuitions for orange pilling. I would just add to your wife that it will be important to take more interest in computers just given the rapid pace of innovation in tech and the real advantages it gives you (idk she maybe already realizes that and has a tech job), and ask her to think for herself about this: which is better, programmable money or government controlled money. There's not a right answer, just that first I thought money controlled by computers was inherently bad and I had to really spend some time thinking on it in comparison to the recklessness of our political leaders. I think those are two stepping stones I needed to accept before I entertained sending and receiving sats. Anyway say hey to her!

In the heady style of @Slestak_Jack, let's talk #Bitcoin. Big ideas, folks. Proven strategies. People don't see the problem, they will NEVER see Bitcoin as a solution. We're changing perceptions & making things happen! Sending sats? Incredible. Best way to get the ball rolling! Bitcoin - not just a one night stand investment. #TeachAndReach #BitcoinRevolution
