I always assume I'm being scammed so I tend to not risk anything I'd regret losing. It's a cynical way to live but it works for me.
@BlokchainB probably has some great advice. They've written about dealing with scams a few times.
Right, everyone I know that has been scammed severely afterwards becomes much more guarded, skeptical, cautious and won't take outsized risks. It makes sense though, it is a dangerous world out there.

That's true. I only have this kind of low risk-tolerance with money though for some reason. I'm just not financially optimistic I guess.
