At least for one more season, Purdy is by far the best value for a QB in the NFL and it’s not close. Top 10 QB (fight me) and the lowest cap hit in the league.
On the other hand. Daniel Jones- Yikes!
Minshew rulez :-) F the establishment I will do it my way ... I'm pulling for him

He is quite fun.

Minshew looks so bizarre. Big change from Jimmy G.

LMAO its like in Spring Training when the players hold up signs with their name and how some of them will put bizarre things like no so and so brother... he chose the be chaos and I love it! Maybe it'll get inside his opponents heads as well!

You don't need the team insignia to know which one's the Raider.

Haha

Did he and Crosby sort out their differences. Haha

Jimmy or Minshew?

I'm sure Maxx is still talking mad shit during practice. Supposedly, Wilkins is even worse.

Wow! This graphic is amazing Purdy is last. Danny Jones just stealing money😂😂 best value has to be CJ stroud
reply
CJ is great but Purdy is the best value. I would say CJ is second best value. We will see what kind of year the rookies have. Williams and Daniels could be up there too if they have years like CJ had last year.
reply
Sounds like a homer. Hate to break it to ya but CJ > Prudy.
I’m willing to put sats up that CJ will have a better season.
reply
He wasn't better than Purdy last year. He may very well be this year. But the variance of 7.2M in cap hit is equivalent to CMCs cap hit this year after his contract restructure. Would you rather have CJ Stroud or Purdy and CMC (who were 3 and 4 in MVP voting last year)?
Or for slightly more you can cover Hufanga's cap hit (all pro safety) and Juszczyk's cap hit (all pro FB).
Huge fan of CJ and I think he will be better than Purdy over his career but when you consider the players you can keep in the variance of just 7.2M in cap hit it is really not even close.
Long term is a different story but as of right now Purdy is by far the best value QB in the NFL.
reply
How? That value trends to zero without CMC Purdy is a cute little story but we all know the niners win with running and defense
reply
"Trends to zero without CMC". Now you are getting silly. Yes he is not Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson and I could list a few more but he is way better than most QBs in the NFL and he is the lowest cap hit in the NFL. Therefore best value. Not best. Best value.
Not sure how you hate a guy who went from the last pick in the draft to third string QB on a super bowl contender to starting QB on a super bowl contender, to 4th in MVP voting. You would think people would celebrate a success story like that but people seem really bitter about it.
reply
Ask yourself if the niners really believed in him why not pay the man now? He’s coming off a Super Bowl birth he’s got enough time under center. They could pay him now and easily dump salary before they know they got their QB for the next 6 to 8 years. But they don’t!! Look how fast the packers locked up love.
reply
They can't pay him now. He is not eligible for an extension until after this season. Rookie contract rules not lack of belief. Love sat behind Rodgers for 3 years so he was extension eligible after his first year as a starter.
I see value as hey CMC goes down and so does Samuel. Can we rely on purdy to go on the road and beat the jets? My bet would be no. Would purdy flourish on the raiders I would say no. So yes he’s cheap and has value in the niners system but it trends to zero on other teams that don’t have a god tier roster
reply
Purdy would be better than Minshew and AOC on the Raiders. Would he be as good as he is with the 49ers of course not. In my opinion there are only 3 guys in the league that can take their team on their back and will them to victory and would find a way to flourish on any team. So your argument essentially is any QB not named Mahomes, Allen or Jackson trends to zero if you take their weapons away.

Freakin Purdy for a mil is CRIMINAL! I know Stroud hit some sort of escalators with him winning Offensive Rookie of the Year.... God he is going to cost the Texans if he keeps developing like he is
reply
Purdy is going to need a new deal after this year too. Probably the first couple years the cap hit won't be too bad, but definitely not 1M, then it will get ugly. 49ers better draft and develop well or move on from Purdy and try to find the next Purdy.
reply
I haven't paid attention to the marketing, but if he hasn't, Purdy totally needs to get a trademark and start calling himself "Mr. Relevant."
(Speaking of, the Jets jettisoned their Mr. Irrelevant, Jaylen Key.)

Daniel Jones smh
