I work in project management and also running our business so I'm on the computer like all day.
I love to do little software experiments too but I like to bring the computer somewhere else just so it feels different.
Do you all have a favorite tactic or place for this? I just bring the computer into the kitchen and hang out with the fam lol
In my case, I work more on my phone, but there are so many tasks that it is difficult for me to be without it. Now it turns out that with this wonderful platform that is Stacker News, I don't let go of it, and when I am not on the platform, I am either educating myself about Bitcoin or helping someone understand Bitcoin. So I consider myself mobile-dependent. I have to work on it.

Do you use bluetooth keyboard? Typing on touchscreen is hard.

I don’t. After 9 hours I separate from the computer completely. I go into what I call, Low Power Mode.

I work at home on the weekend rather than the office and throughout the day I'll switch between using an external monitor to sitting in a chair.

do you worry about burnout or workaholic-ism?

Not really. What's to worry about?
I am exhausted generally, which I'd guess is the burnout, but a good night's sleep and a more meandering day are usually enough to start feeling good again. Although, I might've forgotten what it's like to not be burned out.
To the upside, things become clearer when you spend more time thinking about them. I'm also not sure if some of the things we need to do would get done otherwise. A lot of the solutions we've been working on for the last year aren't a "google away" from being done.

good answer
You don't sound burnt out because you have a good sense of humor and self awareness

I may take my laptop outside on the patio, or hang out in the living room on the couch.
Not something I want to do a lot of, though. I'm trying to get away from constantly being on a screen...

I bring the computer to the couch. At least one cat sits on me, too
