This is just one reason to avoid Bitcoin ATM's. The cons vastly outweigh the pros and always have. Yes you technically have anonymity but at the exchange rates offered, the very low tx fees they send your tx with, and the shady gas stations and liquor stores you have to go into to use them (especially in the U.S.), ITS NOT WORTH IT.

holy shit it's real https://shitcoins.club/
This is bad ass.but the rates and fees are still pretty high. I like the fact you can sell though. Here in Michigan I've only ever seen BTC ATM's where you can buy.
What is this? It seems cool
A Bitcoin ATM
Depends on the company behind the ATM. What was stated in your article was not at all the experience I had with Bitcoin Well ATMs here in Canada. I've done multiple purchases from Bitcoin Well ATMs now. The flow is easy and simple; I scan a QR code to access my account, then I insert cash, then I press buy. The coin usually gets sent to my wallet the next day due to batching, but I've always received my coins. I've been stacking relatively smaller amounts on each transaction though, usually $500CAD to $900CAD.
Im.glad the experiences in other countries have been better than here in the states.
Not good... The worst part is many of these people will conflate that bitcoin is a scam because they have been scammed from it.
Agreed. That was my fear as.well.
