Ready for week 2!
Once the 49ers take care of @siggy47 @StillStackinAfterAllTheseYears's Jets tonight I will be ready for week 2!

You might not be ready then... just saying... let them play the game first :-)

Just a little friendly trash talk. I do think it will be a close game.

I hear ya, week one is such a liar. If the Jets win it will be "Superbowl", if Jets lose it will be "same old Jets".... We need at least 4 games (old quarter of the season) to make an educated guess, and even that it is a definite maybe :-)
I'm just curious at this point, You are right, let's have a good game, that's all we can ask for....

That's fandom. When it looked like the Rams were going to steal a victory from the Lions last night, despite the Rams being down most of their OLine and Nacua, Lions fans were apoplectic. Then they just power ran right over a completely exhausted Rams D in OT and fans were sure they were the most dominant team ever assembled and they were going 20-0 and winning the SB. Haha.

OK, you ARE ready now :-) the Jest played like crap, couldn't stop the nose bleed. Niners were like - no McCaffrey, no problem.... Where was the "very good" Jets defense?
Aaron looked rusty as hell... oh well, its week one, let's move on....

Biggest issue is Jets could not stop the run. Their secondary played pretty well. Purdy was ok but didn’t have a great game. Kittle and Jennings had nice games but didn’t go off. Aiyuk looked like someone who didn’t have a training camp.
As crazy as it sounds because he is reigning offensive player of the year it might have been a disadvantage for the Jets for CMC to be out. CMC runs off tackle a lot more and plays a bigger role in the passing game so if Jets game planned for that and instead got a power runner attacking between the tackles it’s not surprising they had some trouble with it but it is concerning they weren’t able to adapt in the second half.
I thought Rodgers was ok especially for a 41 year old who hasn’t played a full game in a year and a half. He had some nice moments. The interception wasn’t a great pass but it wasn’t bad, Lenoir just made a great play to get his hand in and tip it up and it happened to land in the 49ers LBs hands.
I think the Jets will be fine. Tough week 1 matchup for them on the road. Hopefully they will be sharper next week.
