This is amazing, generally I always felt doctors are persons one should just hear for advice. My fam doctor, when young, always ask me: do you want this pill or do you want a glass of orange juice per day until you feel better?

I always choose the orange, so I could also skip the obligation go to school!

I hope this works. If it doesn't work immediately I think it'll work in the long term. There's a huge pent-up demand for honest, non-biased, non-pharma-indoctrinated medical professionals to provide good advice. I don't know how the details will work out, but I know for sure the demand is out there.

BTW did you mean to actually have the consult price as 21 sats? Seems pretty low. I would suggest making the offer very specific, with details about your background (without doxing yourself, if that matters).

I actually have this rate because I don't want the person who needs my services to feel pressured by the price. It's not that I don't value my work, but I prefer that the person knows that my goal is to help and if they value what I've done for them and feel that this help is worth more than 21 SAT, then they apply V4V and pay whatever they want. My Nostr Pubkey is so that the person can contact me there. Then they can do the Zap and it will arrive to my Lightning wallet. But if they don't have more than 21 SAT, and that's what they can pay, it's the same.

It's likely that in places where medicine is plagued by fraud and constantly marketed, they don't understand this concept, but they will get used to the method.

Also, when you start, reputation is earned through work. I want to earn with PoW.

Would you be trying to do this in the context of a regular doctors visit, maybe online, or would this be more like "pirate" medicine (in the same sense that there were "pirate" radio stations at one point, ones that were unregulated and tried to fly under the radar).

Would you need to be careful to be anonymous, when doing this? I assume the answer is yes.

Maybe start putting (anon) content out on Nostr (or here?) and then just hang out your virtual shingle?

Don't be afraid to start. Just read carefully the recommendations given in the area on how to make the offer. You simply have a skill and you want to put it at the service of others and in the V4V application you receive SAT for your help.

In my case as a Family Physician, I cover most areas of care, from children to older adults, including pregnant women. That's how it's been for 25 years. In your particular case, you can use your knowledge both to publish information on SN, as well as to provide online care and, if applicable, provide personal care in a specific location.

But go for it. Begin. Every long journey begins with a first step.
