Howdy Stackers
Welcome to the fourth edition of SN Morning Bytes — A Daily Newspaper (Kind of 🙏). Here, you'll get links to all of the latest news and updates mostly from the last 24 hours, divided in Sections (much similar to pages on a newspaper).
Let's unfold!

~Bitcoin News of the Day

  • Residents of Hadsel, a Norwegian municipality that pushed to shut down a local Bitcoin mine, are now facing a spike in their electricity bills due to the lost revenue for the local power company.

Global Trade & ~Econ

  • China's industrial output growth slowed to a five-month low in August, while retail sales and new home prices weakened further, bolstering the case for aggressive stimulus to shore up the economy and help it hit its annual growth target.

~Stacker_Sports News

  • Ja'Marr Chase has no plans to negotiate a long-term deal this season with the Cincinnati Bengals and believes the team misled him during the offseason, league sources told ESPN.

~Tech & ~Science

  • In a new study, scientists from Arizona State University and their collaborators studied genetic changes in a naturally isolated population of Daphnia pulex, a species of water flea. This tiny crustacean, nearly invisible to the naked eye, plays a vital role in freshwater ecosystems and provides a valuable insight into natural selection and evolution..

~History with Mystery

  • For nearly a century, Route 66 has loomed larger in American culture than any other road. Also known as “America’s Main Street” and the “Mother Road,” it stretches from Chicago to California, crossing eight states while winding its way through small towns, as well as bigger cities like St. Louis and Tulsa.

~Entertainment World

  • Walt Disney Co., the owner of ABC and ESPN, reached a new contract with satellite-TV provider DirecTV that will restore access to programs like Monday Night Football for millions of the pay-television service’s customers.

An Appeal to Stackers

Currently, this post is under construction (experiment) or under trial until I get a final design or layout and fix some phrases. I intend to give it a finality within 3 or 4 days. For the things that I think are just good enough and can be better are:
  • The Title just feels right (not very attractive)
  • Some headings are attractive and some are just good enough.
  • Need a better intro (may be), a little shorter. What do you say?
Kindly suggest me how can we make it better. Please guide me to improve on title, subtitles, design or anything.
Thanks for reading 🙏

This is cool brother! I think I Should now cancel my newspaper subscriptions. Keep it up and make it bigger. Wish you all the best!
reply
The thing is that in terms of Titles and summaries I have nothing to point out, they seem great to me. You were putting news by topic, so I think it is time to use it. It is like an easy-to-access summary.
On the platform there is the news territory, which is where your post (newspaper) is, I have the option to search for all the news in the territory or simply search for your suggestions in the newspaper, the most attractive thing is engaging.
reply
Very nice.
How are you selecting what stories to feature?
reply
Did you like the story about NFL today?
reply
Yes, I believe it was the top NFL story on ESPN yesterday. I read it yesterday evening.
reply
Alright. I suppose, I've done the right thing to include it here. I'm gonna ask Stackers for sources of latest news they abide to. You tell me what are your sources for top stories?
reply
Hopefully your daily report. Then I can get all my key news of the day on various subjects, zap you some sats and if I wanted to dive further I will search for more info about the stories you feature. That's why I like this idea so much.
reply
I'm glad this may turn out to be a successful post. TBH, initially I was a bit suspicious about its acceptance by Stackers.
reply
Well I like it. I don't know about anyone else. Maybe they all hate it. Haha
reply
I read them from various sources. I like to read news by searching online for the top stories.

Daphnia pulex, a species of water flea. 🤯
reply
I intend to pass on new information with this Newspaper.
reply
Take that Norwegian NIMBY-ots
reply
This is arguably one of the best I could read today. I thought of Norwegian people very highly but this one stupidity has entirely changed my thinking. It'll be interesting to see whether they protest against the power corporation or silently call back the miners.
reply
That story fits right in with @DarthCoin's series about stupidity. The members of that community are just harming everyone, including themselves, with their stupid actions.
reply
Yes, thanks. I didn't have that in mind. This can definitely be a great case study for Darth's Basic Laws of human stupidity.
reply
Thanks for summarising!
reply
Currently, I'm just running this post as an experiment. Please tell me how do you like the idea and the design. Also suggest me for any improvements.
reply
It's cool though
reply
What did you exactly like the most? Which news is relevant to you?
reply
The interface is exciting
And the bitcoin news were interesting
reply
Thanks 🙏 I'm gonna add a few more sections. Would that be fine?
