The best part of my visit in Australia was me picking up "not here to fuck spiders" and "no worries" and never letting go.
Maybe I'll be the guy who makes this Australian slang popular on SN π
Now I know the back story behind you knowing this slang. Itβs cool

A friend and me planned to drive up the east cost from Sydney to Cairns and then through the Outback down to Adelaide over Burketown but we separated in Ayr which messed up that plan.
They have excellent accents over there lol
They do! I got the chance to stay with the Australian family of the guy that towed my car for a few weeks. The power steering hose broke and he couldn't repair it over the Christmas holidays and saw that I was living out of the car so he invited me to stay with him and his family (the other option was to sleep in the car on the junkyard). That was so nice and much appreciated.

What kind of car did you take?
I know they have a big 4x4 community out there.

That's a tough question, it's been 10 years. I think it could have been considered a SUV and it might have been from Toyota.

A toyota broke down on you?
Land cruiser?

No, while searching for the model I read here that a Landcruiser is apparently the "holy grail" of backpacker cars in Australia so I think it was definitely not it but very similar shape.
I also found this story from the same blog and that reminded me how I also almost rolled my car in Australia lol.
