Sometimes, The Onion still hits a home run. I love poetry and am married to a poet, and this still cracked me (and my wife) up.

Ah good old The Onion, didn't realize they were still going. Hadn't checked them out in ages. Hit or miss indeed.
I'm sure this one will be considered a miss by many, but somehow was a hit for me today.

I laughed along and enjoyed the humor, until it dawned on me that I have had those thoughts when reading widely acknowledged good poetry. I'm a common dolt.
