No metadata stored, we just receiving zap and generating an e-sim from provider. Sending via DM to zapper's public key. No other data stored or provided to any other party. It is always possible to use a new empty nostr account, if you are paranoid (and ofc should be) about the stored data and mapping nostr account to yourself irl.
mmm.... fuck the marketing budget! what if we zap you to test it? we just want to cover as many clients as we can, in case of any misimplementation in our side. (already zapped to your nostr account)
We’ve currently published a test for the EU region (34 countries, including the UK). US test eSIMs will be available in about an hour, allowing you to purchase a 1 GB test eSIM for 3,500 sats. In a few days, we’ll release packages with larger data allowances, both globally and for individual countries.
If you’d like to test it, simply send 3,500 sats to one of the options in our eSIM announcements and test notes on nostr (currently available for 1GB in Europe or the USA). We’re just testing whether our eSIM distribution system works well with everyone’s Nostr client events. Currently, top-ups not supported, -but in the roadmap- we are delivering instantly new e-sims via DM on zapped to our relevant posts.
"What is eSIM on iPhone?
An eSIM is an industry-standard digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan from your carrier without having to use a physical SIM. You can install eight or more eSIMs on an iPhone and use two phone numbers at the same time."
Ok, I can confirm - it works like a charm. You get DM instantly after zap and eSIM activation takes about a minute:) great job, guys!
I'll be interested to see how you do that (and what metadata you leak as a result of doing it this way)

I love this idea but don’t want to be the test dummy

Oh, you should have told it in the first place:)) zaps for tests! LFG!
🙋♀️ I'll be happy to test it too!
It's just my device?
We don't have an active website now, just nostr profile. After your reply now we redirected it to our nosta.

Would be nice to have esim with a phone number that can get SMS codes.
Interesting!
This look's a great service! @esim just letting you know we also have the ~AGORA territory around here to promote products and services into the wild.
As easy as creating an [OFFER].
Ups, we missed the ~AGORA territory, definitely create an offer tomorrow after all regions published. Thanks for letting us know.
it's then currently available only in certain regions? I was just looking for an eSIM!

That's great! Thanks for sharing these details. See you on nostr!
Interesting! I saw nosta, does it also sets up a wallet?

This is a great idea! I'll test it.
Great idea. What is the service provider for this?
Can someone explain...what is this? What's e-sim?
