Hello Stackers!

It's Thursday so that means it's Throwback Thursday Time!

Throwback Thursday is changing, (or rather, I'm trialling something out).

I'm going to give you a bunch of clues and I want you to guess the year and comment a song from that year. Highest ranked correct answer (by "top") gets the bounty. Entries close prior to "Feel Good Friday" Post.

🚨A guess without a correct song doesn't win, both your guess and the song must be from the correct year.🚨

Here we go!

  • John Lennon was Shot and killed on December 8th in New York City.
  • Ronald Raegan defeated Jimmy Carter.
  • Pac-Man first released in October.
  • Sir Cliff Richard gets his MBE on January 1st.
  • February 27 – The 22nd Annual Grammy Awards are presented in Los Angeles, hosted by Kenny Rogers. Billy Joel's "52nd Street" wins Album of the Year, while the Doobie Brothers' "What a Fool Believes" wins both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Rickie Lee Jones wins Best New Artist. -April 1st Brian Johnson becomes lead singer of ACDC.

and Iron Maiden release their first studio album! here's the title track, Iron Maiden.

Bruce Springsteen – Hungry Heart - 1980

A pop twist on Springsteen's usual rock style, but who doesn't love this song?

It has even been called one of the best pop songs since The Beatles by Lennon himself, shortly before his tragic end.

This year, 1980 was a big year for British hard rock band AC/DC (that went to live in Australia), with the arrival of Brian Johnson, and the Back in Black album, but which song do you choose, it's a tough call. So I'm going with........

Back in BlackBack in Black

The Shania cover is so surprising. I think Alison and the band really compliment her and it sounds great.
