I think your last paragraph points out the real problem. I was HAPPY when Adams came in. I couldn't take another minute of de Blasio. I can't wait to see what's next.
Yeah I mean really looking back at NYC mayors when was the last time there was one that people well... liked.
I know he went off his rocker after his mayorship but it seems like Giuliani ended on the best terms with the city but that was driven by Sept. 11 and his response. Though even that is now much more of a question mark. At least at the time he ended on a high note esp. with his response to that Saudi Prince who tried to donate $10 million to disaster efforts but stated the attacks showed the US needed to reevaluate their Middle East policy... Talk about a wild move on that Saudi Princes part like dude read a room

You're right. Revisionists will deny it, but Giuliani was beloved during his time as mayor. I personally never liked the guy from his days as a truly unhinged authoritarian US Attorney.

Well, he certainly went after them, but was it good? Most of those convictions were overturned. He had these gigantic show trials. But yes, that's how he made his name.
