Well, he certainly went after them, but was it good? Most of those convictions were overturned. He had these gigantic show trials. But yes, that's how he made his name.

Ah! Thanks for clarifying! I thought he was the one that more or less did what others couldn't and more importantly held clean trials.

I could be wrong but wasnt he the guy who was really good at going after the Mafia? I thought that was what launched him so to speak
