The political landscape in the United States has become very complex, leading us to wonder if violence has become normalized in American politics or if the actions against Trump's life can be taken as a search to turn the spotlight or attention back on himself?

I don't see that second part at all. The partisan left in America is infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome and predictably we're seeing lots of left-wing political violence.
