To understand what is going on, we need to consider the different areas of the simple term “the police” and its various connotations.

1. There is the living breathing man or woman who decided to join a police force. We do not know their reasons for doing so, at an individual level.
2. There is the corporation, or agency that is politically controlled by people with an ulterior motive and hidden agendas.
3. Are you referencing a police officer or a constable of the law?
4. Regardless of a person’s title, they are responsible for their actions; the severity of the punishment depends on intent.
5. Hard truth to swallow, but the actions of every police officer is unlawful and illegal.
