Today I Learned - Series two
Let’s see what interesting and or unique things you have learned so we can all learn a little something today!
Let’s see if we can keep the knowledge sharing until I can make this a territory!
Previous series post #704384
How much would you be happy to post in TIL if it was a territory? 100 sats 21 sats 9 sats 1 sat?
reply
I rarely post in any territory asking several hundreds of sats. My default tip is around 100 sats, so I don't mind up to this value. If it's higher, I'll usually post in a less suitable but cheaper territory.
reply
Would you think I’d open up to spam of non related posts if I did 9 sat posts
reply
I had a bit more spam at the beginning with 10 sat posting fee. I increased to 100 and now at 21 sats. No spam.
reply
Maybe 21 is a sweet spot. I’d like people to post freely there TIL posts so making the barrier to post as palatable as possible but minimising irrelevant posts
reply
I think the smallest post fee I’ve noticed is 10 sats but I get they need to charge more if it’s a less popular territory as they cost 100000 sats a month to run

TIL Romans were known to create tombs for their dogs and gave them epitaphs to remember them by. One such inscription read, “I am in tears, while carrying you to your last resting place as much as I rejoiced when bringing you home with my own hands 15 years ago.”
Read this in the old Reddit TIL files.
