I read this somewhere and I can relate to it: "You don't know how ugly the world is until you try to protect your child from it." After having my daughter, I see life differently, danger in every place, which I used to ignore before, I live in alert mode to keep her safe, I'm not falling into paranoia or overprotecting her, if you are a parent you understand what I'm talking about, stairs are no longer just stairs, the edge of a table is no longer just that, crossing the street, the seat belt, people on the street, a fever, nothing is the same anymore.
