Yesterday, I had the pleasure of working with a manicurist from my city. She needed professional photos to advertise herself on social medias, and I was thrilled to work with her!
We took the first few photos at her workspace. First, I took a shot of her smiling as if she were greeting a client
Then, we wanted to capture photos as if she were working:
I took all the photos with my CANON RP camera and a 50mm f/2.8 lens. For the lighting, I used a speedlite flash with a 50cm octabox.
Once we were happy with those photos, we started taking my favorites: portraits. In the first portrait, she wore a blazer for a more formal look:
Then, she took off the blazer, and we started using some of her tools to make the photos feel more like a manicurist's work and to clearly convey the purpose of the photos.
We used different elements to create variety in the photos, so she could choose the ones she liked best.
In the end, both she and I were super happy with the results. I hope you like them as much as we do!
