That is a wonderful writeup.
As a 3 year GrapheneOS user (who still has a work iPhone), my biggest concern is if Google/Android (and app developers who conform) continues to try to cripple alternative operating systems running on their hardware via only allowing these apps to run on more 'standard' android variants (which are spyware).
I think this will only become more prevalent with banking apps, brokerage apps, govt type apps, and other "high security" type apps.
I'm debating whether to move my personal phone over to an iPhone preemptively or continue my journey with GrapheneOS although the writing seems to be on the wall... Perhaps this latest scare to breakup google will change their mindset though, fingers crossed!
