Great review. You told me about this book probably a year and a half ago, and I still haven't read it. That's my mistake. I could never embrace Henry Rollins for some reason. Maybe I was too old. Maybe it was the whole straight edge thing. As I probably mentioned to you before, a friend of mine was his guitar player for a while, so I actually met him briefly backstage after a concert in eastern europe in the late 1990s.
I have to spend the time to get to know his work. Too many people who's opinions I respect think very highly of him.
I remember us chatting. I think it’s worth a look and it’s easy to dip in and out of. It may come across as a little angst ridden or nihilistic to some I guess. I also get the straight edge thing…
