Still figuring out this Nostr thing. I’m so used to shilling the birth of my children on Twitter threads to make 10% back on affiliate links at the end of the thread 🤣🤣

But Nostr sometimes feels like a black hole and I don’t trust the clients to work right or people to click and follow to the end of the thread. And if they want to send zaps then they might just click only the top note anyways then not scroll down. So I just included the whole “thread” in a single Nostr note.

I know I’m announcing the birth of my child but here I am genuinely trying to seek help translating Twitter to Nostr 😅. Maybe there’s no translation? Maybe I need to treat Nostr notes the same way I treat SN posts? Si Twitter vs Nostr isn’t as apt a comparison as people presume?

I was trying to think too, which territory of SN do ppl even make birth announcements? How many have happened since SN started? Is the best bet @DesertDave ~alter_native? Maybe I should ~AskSN lmao!

Making a NOSTR announcement vs SN is kind of interesting too because there if ppl zap me to show support or help me buy diapers, I get 100% of the sats vs @DarthCoin wanting to send me “Cowboy Credits” and even then there’s @ek 30% Sybil fee.

Anyways, that’s enough rambling. I have fun ideas for the “proper” SN birth announcement post. Feel free to zap this post, or the NOSTR one to be more efficient. I’ll report back the difference between here and there 🫡
