If we are to ever live in peace we must tune out their divisive messaging and learn to live in peace with our neighbors.
This is the essence of why I tune out (partisan) political news every October. The whole point is to be as divisive and enraging as possible. I'm not interested in giving those psychopaths that kind of influence on my mind.
When you disagree, agree to disagree. It seems like we have forgotten out to do that.
This has been the saddest part of the Trump era to me (not that I'm attributing it to him). My dad's best friend went full TDS and it destroyed their friendship for a while. I think they repaired it, but it was shocking to see longtime friends who had always been able to disagree with each other lose that ability.
I have a lot of thoughts on how we got here. It's not Trump's fault. We just like a scape goat.
The people were looking for a Trump figure and he appeared. These people didn't just decide to support a mean bully. They were bullied for decades and disappointed by their weak leaders.
Don't mistake this statement for Trump support. Just explaining.
