I want an underdog to win it. Which one is the biggest underdog?
reply
@grayruby's ridiculous pick, the Pacers, are the biggest underdog on there.
reply
Ahh! That's why they are voteless till now.
What's your mind-blowing pick then?
reply
OKC, same as @gnilma. Best record last year and they made substantial roster improvements.
reply
Pacers had been good last season. Also they are far from calling them ridiculous. I think your comment was directed to @grayruby not the Pacers. You've underestimated both the Pacers and @grayruby. Now that I've also votes for Pacers, they are gonna be unstoppable this season. My 1 vote is heavier than yours and @gnilma's total.
reply
He is just not prepared for Halliburton and Siakam to dominate the league.
Plus the Canadian connection Nembhard and Mathurin will be unstoppable.
reply
Pacers are an exciting and fun team to watch. Excellent offense, they are the type of team that will beat you by outscoring you. I'm also excited to see what Mathurin can bring to the table when/if (but it's a small if) they make the playoffs. Too bad he was hurt last playoffs and hopefully stays healthy to contribute in this season's playoffs.
That said, I think the Pacers are still too young and need more experience for them to win it all. Maybe another season or 2 with more playoff experience until they become a true contender. I could be wrong, but I think this season is not their time yet. I also think they lack paint defense and rebounding. Last season, they were ranked third worst rebounding team in the regular season and ranked second worst team for points given up in the paint. A good center that can protect the paint and rebound would improve them greatly, and that center is not Turner. I guess you have to pick your poison; Turner is a great scorer, but can't defend nor rebound for shit.
The Canadian Connection is an awesome nickname!
reply
"The Canadian Connection" would be a pretty cool nickname for them.
You know full well that I'm looking forward to the Pacers this season. (Spoiler Alert!) They're the second team on our agenda this week.
reply
Uh oh. I better sharpen up on them since I picked them in the prediction contest. I wouldn’t want those that follow me into the darkness to know I am making it up as I go.
I love this Pacers team, so you're right that I'm not referring to them as ridiculous.
reply
I can't let you bully our so modest @grayruby.

Let’s Go Knicks!

OKC
reply
Looks like only the two of us picked them.
reply
Great minds. It was either Denver or OKC for me, but I decided to stick with my pick from your contest.
Westbrook looked really good in his pre-season debut with Denver. Looks like his career isn't over yet.
reply
I would be perfectly happy if my Pacers pick was a bust but OKC won the title.
reply
If Jokic can turn Russ into a winner, it should be the first line in his Hall of Fame profile.
reply
I will be consistent with my prediction at @Undisciplined post. Mavericks!
