I just looked at his stats and grade on pff. He is essentially a carbon copy of our starting RT Colton McKivitz. That’s not bad but not good either.
Then PFF is missing the mark pretty badly. Kolton's having an atrocious season, but he's had a very solid career.

PFF O-Line grades are hit or miss.
I think they are pretty good for the 49ers though. They have Trent at 86 which is about right he has been his regular pro bowl level self this year but maybe taken a slight step back. Banks at 75, which is about right. He has been pretty good when healthy and gets a lot of benefit from playing next to Trent. Brendel the C is the worst by far with a 63, which might be a bit generous, he is terrible. Puni the rookie has been good with a 76, about right. And Mckivitz has been solid with a 73, which is also about right.
49ers OLine other than Brendel has held up fairly well this year. Their issue is getting burnt or taking dumb penalties at the worst possible time. They will play great and then get a penalty in the red zone or leave an unimpeded rusher on a 3rd and goal.

Kolton would fit right in.

I hope when Feliciano comes back he is going to start at C but I don't think they will. I think they like him as a versatile back up that can play both G positions and C.

The Raiders have a similar situation, where they should really move JPJ or Parham to C, now. One of them will be the center going forward and Andre James is a disaster.
