Ravens just traded a bucket of balls and a few bucks for Diontae Johnson. (5th for 6th pick swap- late 5th for very early 6th- so really nothing).
Diggs is out for the year, so the Texans will be in the WR market. I still expect the 49ers to add another veteran WR before the deadline.
We have already seen the Jets, Chiefs and Bills add WRs.
Hahahah Feeling like the bills overpaid for Cooper
reply
Bastard cost me my parlay. 1 catch. Haha
I am sure he will come up big for them later in the year and playoffs.
reply
Cooper cost me my match in my home league. I was really confident he was a sure fire thing.
reply
I've heard Jakobi Meyers might be available. He's very versatile and probably wouldn't cost a ton to get. The 49ers could put him to good use.
reply
Which role does he play? They need an Aiyuk replacement. They have enough guys that are versatile. Deebo, Pearsall, Jennings can all play multiple WR positions but they are missing that true X.
reply
He's different than Aiyuk, more of a big pass catcher than a dynamic threat. He does run good routes and get open reliably.
Long-term, he'd be a fun toy for Kyle to play with. He's a pretty decent passer. too. For most of the season he's been the Raiders' emergency QB.

Just read the report from the 49ers that Charvarius Ward's one year old daughter died. Man that is just horrible. This season is beyond cursed. Wow, I can't imagine what they are going through.
reply
Oh man that's horrible. Can't imagine what him and his family are going through.
reply
That's horrific. Was she sick or was it an accident?
reply
I am not sure but I think maybe she was sick because he took time off from the team earlier in the season for "personal reasons".
reply
That's pretty heartbreaking.

Media reporting his daughter was born with Down syndrome and had a heart issue that required a previous surgery.

I’m not sure Houston will be tbh! Collin’s is expected back soon and Hutchinson has been huge! Would much rather us settle down our O line somehow.
Before Diggs got hurt I was hoping we would flip one of ours but now we aren’t overloaded. This injury also gives John Metchie a huge chance to step up and take the next step after his cancer diagnosis and treatment that knocked out his rookie year
reply
I do hope metchie becomes something. All the talent but his situation put him behind the 8 ball a bit.

Yeah it really did and it’s a big reason why I think Diggs getting hurt is going to serve as an opportunity to remind everyone!
reply
Interesting. I was listening to espn radio while in the car and they seemed certain that the Texans would add a WR.
Almost impossible to trade for good OLineman. Unless you get a veteran on an expiring contract on a bad team. Not too many available that fit the bill.

I mean Dell and Woods are a solid starting duo esp with Dalton Schultz as the TE. Throwing in what I’ve seen from Hutchinson gives us a great three and John Metchie was a second round pick in 2022. He lost that season to cancer so last year was his first so this to me is his year to step up and step out!
reply
We just got Cam Robinson from the Jags. He's a LT it'll help to ease the pain of losing Darrisaw but our biggest hole is RG.
There just aren't enough good Olinemen out there these days.
reply
Decent pick up. Hard to trade for a stud OLineman.
reply
He'll definitely go a long way to filling the void left by CD. But long term outlook...can he play guard??
I'm kinda hoping we use our 1st rounder to go and get Dexter Lawrence, true penetrating nose tackle to help our DLs get pressure so our secondary isn't left on an island to cover for an eternity.

The Texans are possibly looking to move on from our 2022 first round pick Green. He has not been good at all this year and I think from watching it boils down to our system and Stroud being so mobile.
If we could flip him for a second or maybe a third and fifth I’d be thrilled lol
