We’ve all heard advice that we brushed off at first, only to realize later how valuable it could have been. Sometimes, the advice we ignore ends up being exactly what we needed to hear. Looking back, is there a piece of advice you wish you’d taken sooner? How would it have changed things if you had?

For me, the advice I wish I’d followed sooner was “Don’t wait for the perfect moment—just start.” For years, I wanted to work on personal projects but kept putting them off, thinking I’d start once I had “everything in place.” It wasn’t until a friend reminded me that there’s never a perfect time that I finally took the leap.

I could apply that to a lot of other things in my life also. However, I think it is also wise to be thoughtful and patient before making decisions, so it is always a balance.

Start lifting weights and take care of your body.

I waited until I was 38 to start doing that. At 43 I'm stronger than I ever have been in my life, with a much better quality of life.
