That's my view too, but there are definitely quality people out there who haven't found their way to our little western utopia yet.
A concerted effort to draw in those folks might be worthwhile.
Another thought is that we could try to draw some of the folks who used to be active stackers back to the site. There are easily a dozen great former contributors who have wandered off.
They have wandered off for a reason. Sometimes life gets busy. Eventually when they are ready, they will come back. We will all burn out eventually, its just a matter of time. How we deal with it is the important thing.

Sure, but maybe some of them would enjoy what the site has become and they just haven't checked it out in awhile.

It is hard to get them back. I have tried on nostr with a couple older stackers that were featured in this day on SN. k00b did mention that some old stackers are still around but under different accounts now.

Everyone has their own pace. Some might have outgrown SN.

How would we message them? Even if we message with their stacker news address, if they arent checking it, it doesnt matter. That is the achilles heel of everyone having a nym and not knowing who people are.

I'm thinking about people who you might interact with on nostr or have some other contact for.
I also don't want to flood SN with people, so these should be highly selected targets.
reply
I dont even use nostr yet. I am just enjoying my time on SN.

Honestly, you're not missing much. There are a few people there who would make nice stackers, though.

I know there are some big stackers and influencers on there. I just dont know how to interact with them. If they are on here, I can interact with them. I dont want to be riding on anyones coattails.
