Was debating the best territory for this but i think books is it.
so i have a friend who is a bit interested in bitcoin, although hasn't taken any definitive steps to starting yet so i will send him the odd article or youtube video, as well as some quotes or bits from bitcoin / Austrian economics books I've been reading.
then he said the other day about me reading a lot of books about money but not being rich lol
what i answered was that books are about education, and i was reading about the history of money not to become rich, but to better understand why the fiat money system came to be the monster it did. Reading and educating myself is what will help me set up me and my family's future.
i also mentioned that of course i wasn't rich, i don't have the capital to deploy on a business or anything, if i did, i would have scooped the shit out of bitcoin when it dipped to 15k and would have been perhaps a multi coiner.
when you're on a learning journey, reading good books is a form of proof of work

Money doesn't mean you are rich. You are rich when you do not care about the time dedicated to earn money. You are rich when you have more free time to explore new things.
In fact it is wrong to say "i am going to work hard to earn more money". You are not earning money, but trying to accumulate energy for future use.
And Bitcoin is the best way to store energy in form of money.

this is true, you can lead a rich life, without being rich in monetary terms

Well, reading alone doesn't do the job, you have to integrate it into your life. Probably the best book about that is 'Atomic Habits', it helped me a lot.
You SHOULD acquire knowledge and skills to get rich, it's great! Not to drive a lambo, but to be more independent and reduce stress. A very nice book to learn about money is an oldie: The Millionaire Nextdoor from the 90s. It's about how most independent people usually are driving a second hand car and live a good, but modest life . Real eyeopener.

I remember that book. Financial independence should be everyone’s goal. Maybe you are not rich today but you are getting richer every week, month and year.

I totally agree!! Knowledge is POWER!! Personally, I have been in the world of Burrow for a little over a year now... and learning how money works and discovering that it is the biggest scam of all time!! It is necessary and I do it also because I want to impart this knowledge to my children so that they are awake and do not let themselves be indoctrinated by the system that wants to keep them asleep as πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ I want them to have the possibility to make their own decisions in their economy and in their life!!!

exactly, when you start finding out how messed up and rigged the whole thing is, you stop paying attention to the nonsense on the news. and if we don't learn these things and warn our kids, they will be labs to the slaughter πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I hope that by the time my children are teenagers, the fiduciary system will have already fallen and Bitcoin will already be the main asset and will have much more acceptance... as is needed here in South America, for example.
