What do you have to say about that, pidgey?

They don't want you to know this, but the pigeons are free. I've taken home 12 pigeons so far

lol, yeah I got my first one here. It's fancy pigeon, probably somebody left it in the urban wild. She's now flying out on occasion as I'm trying to rewild the bird. She hangs out with other pigeons a couple of blocks down from where I live. One night she was weak and sat on the ground so I took her home again and gave her the hotel treatment for a couple of more days. Now she flew away again. XD
But 12, that's a bunch. Just for keeping?

The pigeons do their own proof-of-work as well.

I would definitely be feeding them on the sly. Vive la RĂ©sistance!

This reminded me of a Simpsons episode about pigeons.

Rats you mean?
That is based on some viral news paper article from the 80s, which unfortunately is as inaccurate as it can get, and has negatively (understatement) affected the perception the populace has on these birds. MSM what can I say...

I don't know if it gave the impression that this was my opinion about the Simpsons episode, but it's not. I am against any type of mistreatment of animals. Thanks for the observation

alright, thanks for explaining.
usually when people bring up the rat thing it's not in a good way, so i'm a bit primed for that, I wasn't clear on what your angle was.

It was my mistake. I had an experience when I was a child, where my cat was killed by a crazy person who shot him several times with a pellet gun, simply because he thought it was funny. This really impacted me... I have a deep hatred for those who mistreat animals

Wow, that must have been traumatic.
Some animal mistreatment is cultural unfortunately to varying degrees.
Usually these people are (mentally/emotionally) sick themselves and they project it onto the animal.
I see it everyday on the streets. Thank god, I haven't seen a nutcase as you describe.

Yes, it was very traumatic... it was so much so that the incident took place over 25 years ago. When I see abandoned animals wandering the streets it gives me a lot of anguish.

I'm quite sure that's healable.
You could feed your local pigeons or something of that nature.
Bird medicine is great.
It has helped me in many ways dealing with all kinds of human insensitivities.
