Patrick Boyle does a master video exposing the engineering scam this project is. As u listen to this I think it’s a money laundering scheme.
Saudi Arabia’s plan to build a 170km long, 500m tall, mirrored city in the desert as one of their megaprojects filled with 9 million people has now been curtailed to 2.4km long.
According to Bloomberg, Saudi Arabia’s government has “scaled back its medium-term ambitions” for Neom, of which The Line is the most significant sub-project.
They still have sewage problems in dubai. Then making a megacity in a line will be hard for them. Hence why they scaled ir back, but l bet they didnt return any of the funding they raised.

That project always sounded absurd to me. Still does, even at a significantly scaled down version.

I often think this was a psyop by the west into self sabotaging the Saudi economy. People forget tech flourishes in more free societies. The Saudis aren’t free. This idea that free thinking people are going to live under a kingdom is wild. I rather live in a rat infested NYC then stop foot in this place. Green energy, AI all the buzz of the west they were trying to invent an economy along the oil they control and it’s going to blow up with massive mal-investment
