What we really need is mass class-action lawsuits.
Those gov officials and tech companies who conspired to take away 1A rights from innocent people need to be sued in massive class-action suits. Their ill-gotten gains need to be transferred to the victims.
reply
Perhaps there is another ways! Individual suits by the millions on each company. They would have to defend each and every one. This is a very expensive proposition for the companies, especially if they are all done pro se.

Just read the full plan, and allowing any user to opt out of any algorithms seems like something his Bestie Billionaire Friend wouldn't like much.

But on his campaign sight with his video announcement, so I assume it's still current.

Why would he dislike users opting out of algorithms?
reply
Musk completely shifted Twitter away from even allowing people to read without algorithms. The current model emphasizes ads, paid users, and Musk himself above other content.

On X there are 2 sections For you and Following.
Following is the feed for people you follow.
"For you" is algorithmic, you see people you don't currently follow.
Do you currently use X?
reply
I killed my X account over a year ago when it became unusable, and haven't looked back; if it's allowing the "following" feed to actually go in chronological order, that's an improvement.
reply
If you no longer use X, how do you know the current model emphasizes Musk above other content?

True! I really miss Twitter (now fking X). Btw, there are few new features like Community notes, and paying creators etc.. others like people can view your posts even after you block them and small accounts if they are not paying are literally being killed :(
I deactivated my account few months and never going back again!
reply
Community notes are a genuinely good idea, regardless of my thoughts on Twitter as a whole.
