Yes, taking pictures of strangers is definitely not cool But that pic looks very close. So really weird if that was done in secret

Maybe we shouldn't have assumed that it was you (reading my comment again, I actually didn't write that it was you). But it looks like someone did and you spread it, enabling such behavior.
I think it's normal to assume it's a stranger when you mention "strange things".
